Hi Everyone, and Happy New Year!
We’ve been listening and hearing about how challenging it will be for all staff to attend training while also making sure all of our locations are staffed and open to the public. After talking this through with leadership, we’ve decided to adjust our plans in a way that we hope will make this easier for everyone.
Updated January Training Plan
Rather than holding multiple sessions during the week of January 11, 2026, we’ll now be bringing everyone together for one training. This will give us the opportunity to learn and participate together as one Library. If you have an unavoidable conflict that prevents you from attending on the date below, talk with your manager, and we will work with you to find another option to complete the required training.

- 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
- Location: SP
All branches will be closed to the public during this time.
Staff will have close to an hour after training to get something to eat and travel to their assigned work locations. Branches will reopen to the public at 2:00 p.m. Your manager will work with you on scheduling and reporting times to make sure everything runs smoothly that afternoon.
Managers will work with you to cancel any programs scheduled during this closure window as well as contacting and rescheduling outside groups with reservations during this time.
